In the box, I received NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine.  I received mine in the color Nude York City (cute huh?)  They come in 9 other equally adorably named shades.  They are around $2.49 at any drugstore, or at least anyone I’ve gone to.

To find out what I personally thought of the gloss, check it out below.

Here are some swatches, two with flash one without, of Nude York City.  I always wanna follow that with “Get a Rope!! but I digress.

This color, personally, goes with everything.  It has a slight shimmer.  I have worn this over nude shades, peach shades, and red shades and it works and looks amazing

I’m not gonna bore you with a bunch of rigamarole on lipgloss, I will jump right to the pros and cons.

Pros:

beautiful color

amazing staying power

non sticky (which makes the above con pretty unbelievable.)

price

Cons:

Smell is a fruity mint combo that has the drawbacks of both and the benefits of neither

the applicator is just awful.  It’s long, thin and very difficult to navigate.

Final thoughts;
This gloss has an amazing formulation and the pros far, far outweigh any cons.  I hightly recommend you get $3.00 together and run and pick up some of these amazing lipshines.

I picked up 7 of the Revlon Colorburst lipsticks, but only 6 different colors.

From Left to Right are:

I got two fo the Revlon Colorstay Mineral Mousse Foundations one for me to try and one for my mom to try out.  I got us both the color 010 Fair.  This does have and SPF of 20

I found a few concealers to try.  The first is the Maybelline New York Mineral Power Natural Reflecting Concealer.  I’ve been wanting to pick this up to try under my eyes, and what better time then a sale?  I, of course, picked mine up in Fair.

There was a lone Almay Smart shade anti-aging Concealer SPF 20 in my shade of 010 light so I felt it was fate and got it as well.

I picked up two Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Fast Fix concealers.  I chose Light and All-Over Brightener.

From the same Sally Hansen line I grabbed the Sally Hansen Natural Beauty inspired by Carmindy: Luminous Matte Pressed Powder in Neutralizer.  It’s really nice, because “hidden” under the powder is not only a puff, but also a really nice sized mirror for on the go touch ups.

The final thing I found I wanted to try from the same brand were two Sally Hansen Natural Beauty inspired by Carmindy: Sheerest Cream Blushes.

The last thing that I found I “needed” was a Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in the color 340 – Black Platinum.  It’s a beautiful color, but you need to have some time on your hands if you want to wear this color, because it took a good three coats to get this puppy looking decent.

Finished mani with three coats and it is still a little sparse around the cuticle, but that is probably more the fault of the manicurist rather then the polish.

For the last couple weeks I’ve been testing products I’ve received in my Influenster box.  All these products were sent to me complimentary to try and review for you all.  You can go back and see all the goodies that arrived here.  So for the next couple days I’m going to devote to reviewing the reviewable products on here so you can maybe get your hands on the good ones and stay away from the not so good ones.

The first product I’ll be giving you the 411 on is the Broadway Nails ImPress Press on Manicure.   They come in a huge variety of styles (36) ranging from solids to patterns.   You can find these at drugstores and the price ranges from about $6 – $8 (USD).  You can also go to www.impressmanicure.com for a coupon. I received the crackled finished nails called Working Girl.  They claim they are easy to apply, rival the strength of gel nails, and will last up to a week.

When you open your package the nails come in a nail polish bottle shaped plastic container.  Points for sheer adorable packaging.

There is a prep pad included that you clean your nails off with after removing all nail polish from your natural nails, if that applies.

You take each nail match it to your natural nail size and peel the backing off of the nail and pop em on. 

Pros:

They are thin, but strong so they are much easier to wear and maintain then traditional press on nails.

The sheer number of choices is a huge plus.

They really do last very well.

Very easy to apply.  No glues to mess with and no tips to file

Very, very easy to take off.

Meh:

This is not really a con, but I hated the crackle nails I received.  They are for lots of people, just not really a good look for me and my lifestyle.

Cons:

They did not last a week on me.  Take into consideration though, I have 2 children and I go all day long.  They did, however, last 3 1/2 days before just one popped off, which traditional press on nails would never have lasted that long.

If I’m ever in a position where I need a quick nail change, these are my new go tos.  I would definitely repurchase.  I really loved the way they applied and they ease in which you can remove them and start again.  I totally recommend these.
