Hey everyone!! I finally received my Holiday box from Influenster. I will show you what I received and then will periodically jump on and review what I’ve tried. Everything I got is after the jump….
Hey everyone!! I hope you had an amazing Christmas. Mine was awesome.. it’s always nice to have a new little one to celebrate with. For the last couple weeks I’ve been testing products I’ve received in my Influenster box. All these products were sent to me complimentary to try and review for you all. You can go back and see all the goodies that arrived here. So for the next couple days I’m going to devote to reviewing the reviewable products on here so you can maybe get your hands on the good ones and stay away from the not so ...
The lovely Kate Moss got herself hitched today, and I thought we'd scope out her dress. I feel like I should cover a wedding, since I completely flaked on the royal wedding. Kate married Jamie Hince wearing John Galliano. I personally loved this dress, but was kinda shocked that she went to simple. I realize when you see the bottom of the dress, you may ask "simple??" However, this is Kate Moss, supermodel, fashion forward maven, so I was expecting a raucous color, or feathers, etc. Here is her dress in all it's glory: My favorite part of the dress was the amazingly ...
I have a surprise (to me) haul and a drawn out story before sharing it. The other day I went to a petstore to let my oldest take a peak at animals I have no intention of letting reside in my home and I got the crazy cravings for a snickers. Next door to the petstore is a Dollar Tree and so I ran in to grab a snicker (or 3 – don’t judge). I was walking to the candy section and passed by the “beauty” section and saw these palettes. I have a few LA color palettes I’d ordered ...
There are somethings in life I get super excited about – the birth of my children, shoes in general, sale at, well, anywhere, and new products from Sedona Lace. It’s funny there are YSL junkies, MAC groupies, and Wet and Wild devotees, but I’m a Sedona Lace addict. So when they announced a new line of brushes arriving and they were designed by makeup artist RenRen, I was onboard. Below I will show pictures, tell you how the brushes were designed to be used or what I use them for, how they differ from Sedona Lace’s first brush collection (Professional ...

Hey everyone. I have been a boob about doing a behind the scenes of the work I do on Sedona Lace’s blog found here, I’m going to do better I promise.
This is the Modern Pinup look I did. You can view the look, as well as all the others and those done by Cathy at www.sedonalace.blogspot.com. if you see one of my post and you’d like to see a behind the scenes on the look email me or comment below.
Click below to see a full list and pictures of all the products used.
Here is another review featuring another product I received in my Holiday Vox Box from Influenster. If you are interested in learning more you can look at my blog post on the haul or go to their website. It’s free and I highly recommend checking them out.
In the box, I received NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine. I received mine in the color Nude York City (cute huh?) They come in 9 other equally adorably named shades. They are around $2.49 at any drugstore, or at least anyone I’ve gone to.
To find out what I personally thought of the gloss, check it out below.
I went to CVS and the sales were just insane. So, of course, I had to make some purchases, cuz that’s just what I do. If you see anything in here you would like a full review on let me know. Onto my goodies!

Until next time!!

The first product I’ll be giving you the 411 on is the Broadway Nails ImPress Press on Manicure. They come in a huge variety of styles (36) ranging from solids to patterns. You can find these at drugstores and the price ranges from about $6 – $8 (USD). You can also go to www.impressmanicure.com for a coupon. I received the crackled finished nails called Working Girl. They claim they are easy to apply, rival the strength of gel nails, and will last up to a week.

I have a few LA color palettes I’d ordered off of Cherry Culture and thought for a buck I’d give them a try. So I culled through and picked up every palette they had. If you have a Dollar Tree or maybe even any Dollar place will have them, you must run don’t walk to get these amazing palettes. These have the pigment and texture of a Stila shadow (soft and creamy) and the pigment of an Inglot or Makeup Forever shadow, and they are 3 for a $1. These are so creamy to the touch it’s almost disconcerting. These are the type of shadows that other companies charge $20 per color. I am loving these and will probably go on a mad search to find more. I checked online and didn’t see any place that had these particular palettes, although Cherry culture does have some 3 color palettes, I’m just not sure if they are these with this formula, but it would be worth giving a shot. I will be placing an order and hope they are as amazing as these are.
I have full swatches and pictures after the jump
Hey everyone.. It’s time to get ready for another day.
Pictures of everything I used are below and after the Jump there is a full list of products along with the video.
Have a great day!!
Until next time!!

Below I will show pictures, tell you how the brushes were designed to be used or what I use them for, how they differ from Sedona Lace’s first brush collection (Professional Brush Set), and of course the pro and cons round up. Let me, also, say that if you have the Professional brush set and feel like you should pass up the Vortex collection, you should take another look. The brushes in the Vortex collection are completely different and serve different purposes then the Professional collection. The Vortex collection fills in any “gaps” left behind by the Professional collection and makes your brush collection complete.
Let me start with the basics. There are 13 brushes (14 if you include that one is a double ended brush) and there is an optional brush belt that is part of the collection as well. The brush set by itself is $69.95 which makes the brushes around $5.00 – $5.38 a brush, depending on if you count the 14th brush on the double ended brush. This in itself is just amazing value. The brush belt is $19.95. If you order them as a set, the cost is only $79.95 which makes the brush belt only $10!! You can order them at www.SedonaLace.com and if you are used to horrific customer service and slow shipping, just go and order from Sedona Lace just to get a breath of fresh air. They have the most amazing customer service and they get you your products out and to your door in record time.
Below is a picture of my entire Sedona Lace brush collection housed in the Vortex Collection’s brush belt.
The brush belt is a leatherette belt that features room for around 23 brushes (and that’s if you only put one brush in each compartment. You will see in the picture above, I like to double up.) There are four very large pockets that can hold wipes, kabukis, papers, tissues, etc. There is even a pocket to hold your business cards. This is a very soft “fake” leather is textured which you can see below and looks clean, professional and nothing like the cheap plastic looking belts that are passed on much more expensive brush sets. The strap is an adjustable belt with a clip type closure.
The brushes are the second brush set launch by Sedona Lace and there are some differences from the two collections. The major differences are esthetic and concern the handle of the brushes. With the Vortex collection the brush handles are a matte finish and the Professional brush set they are shiny and glossy. The other difference is in the length of the handles. The Professional brush set features longer handles then the Vortex collection. I happen to prefer the longer, shinier brush handles, however the shorter handles do nothing to damper the effectiveness of the brushes. The last difference and the one I find the most annoying is that the Vortex collection brushes are not numbered or labeled in any way. You wouldn’t think that it would pose that big of a todo, but it really is a fairly big oversight in my opinion. If you are a blogger or vlogger and want to quickly refer to a brush there is no label on these brushes that make that a quick undertaking. You can show the brush, but I do prefer names or numbers on the actual product, but that ‘s personal preference as well.
